The Alpha Quartet is a highly experienced string quartet that has been established in Dublin for over 10 years. We provide music for wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate events, as well as occasionally working with orchestras, bands, performing chamber concerts and running workshops. Our members are conservatory trained - if any member is unavailable, we shall always provide deputy players of the highest possible quality.

We like to tailor each performance to the individual occasion and are happy to meet with clients whenever possible. In recent years we have arranged music on request ranging from Tom Waits to Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump Theme) and have accumulated a vast library of music across all styles and genres.

We have played live with acts as diverse as Westlife, Paul Weller, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Liam O'Flynn, Ronan Keating and Brian Kennedy. The quartet was proud to be chosen to play at the ceremony to mark the expansion of the European Union in May 2004, an event broadcast in over 50 countries, and has even been featured act on RTÉ’s The Late Late Show.

We regularly play at all the major hotels and venues in Dublin, and are available to travel throughout the country. Costs are dependent upon the number of players (duo/trio/quartet), distance from Dublin and the length of time we are requested to play for.
