The Alpha Quartet is a classical string quartet that provides music for wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate events, as well as classical and popular concerts. The members have trained in institutions across Europe, from the Conservatory of Music in Prague to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, as well as the College and Academy of Music in Dublin. This group of professional and highly experienced musicians has played with acts as diverse as Westlife, Paul Weller, Andrea Bocelli, Rod Stewart, Liam O'Flynn, Ronan Keating and Brian Kennedy. The quartet was proud to be chosen to play at the ceremony to mark the expansion of the European Union in May 2004, an event broadcast in over 50 countries.

The Alpha Quartet was featured on RTE's Late Late Show in November 2004, described by Pat Kenny as "a group of young musicians who are really making a name for themselves". (You can see the episode archive on: www.rte.ie/tv/latelate/20041119.html). We perform at conferring ceremonies and other events for UCD, NCAD, IT Tallaght, Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design, and The Royal College of Surgeons, and have given educational workshops in schools. We regularly play at all the major hotels and venues in Dublin and are available to travel throughout the country.
